Q Associates appointed to G-Cloud 6 Framework
February 2, 2015
UK-based IT infrastructure specialist Q Associates has been awarded a place on the latest iteration of the G-Cloud framework, RM1557vi G-Cloud.
Q Associates now offer a range of specialist cloud-based infrastructure and storage services which include Large Scale Data Archiving, CrashPlan, SharePlan and Cloud Backup Services. This compliments our original listings for Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a service (SaaS) and Specialist Cloud Services.
David Cue, Q Associates’ Founder and Managing Director stated:
“We are delighted to be named as an approved G-Cloud supplier. This appointment provides a firm foundation for our continued development as a leading provider of IT services to government organisations across the UK. We currently provide services over 350 public sector clients including Universities, Research Councils, Local Authorities, Police and NHS Trusts. Through this framework we will now be able to offer a broad range of on-premise, hosted and cloud-based services with valuable financial flexibility to these customers.”
The G-Cloud programme was launched by the Cabinet Office to simplify procurement of approved cloud computing services. The framework actively supports the inclusion of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), such as Q Associates, as providers of specialist services to UK Government organisations. Minister for the Cabinet Office Francis Maude said: “G-Cloud is a simpler, faster and cheaper way for the public sector to buy digital services. It allows companies of all sizes to benefit from our digital by default approach to government. Our reforms to government technology are designed to ensure the best possible service for users at the lowest cost for taxpayers. We will continue to embed our Cloud First principle in government and recommend it across the wider public sector.”
